Council had its latest meeting this past Friday June 20th. We went over the Audit and Assessment confirmation from SAMA (Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency) and all is in good order. Tax notices will all be sent out this coming week. If they are paid by the end of July then you will save 5%.
I wanted to thank our councilor, Craig Lester, for stepping in and cutting the grass while we look for a new maintenance person. Hopefully our new person will start in the next few weeks.
We still have the Fire Ban and ATV/UTV ban on for the wooded areas as we have received very little rain over the past few months (less than ¾ of an inch since the snow left). Hopefully this will change and we can have it lifted if we get enough rain. Remember Fire Works are also not permitted in the village.
Pat Irwin was at the meeting to let us know that she has a village parade planned for Sunday June 29th with a brand, new route and this will be followed by games at the park at 1pm.
